Flights are available from all the East Africa capitals of Nairobi (Kenya), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) and Kampala (Uganda) to practically every city of the globe; connecting mostly through Europe and the Middle East.
Murien Safaris Africa books its clientele on most airlines that are members of IATA, and confirms tickets for onward flights for those clients that are booked on safaris with us at no extra cost.
Most major airlines operate regular scheduled flights to Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Our national flag carrier kenya Airways, operates daily scheduled services between Nairobi, Mombasa and Malindi on the coast and to Kisumu on the shores of lake victoria. Other flights continue to Entebbe, Uganda and Zanzibar, Tanzania.
Local charter flights are available to the main game parks and other scenic areas including Amboseli, Maasai Mara, Samburu, Tsavo, Lake Nakuru, Lake Baringo and Lamu.Travelers to luxury camps and resorts, plus those that are on special safaris will enjoy traveling aboard our fleet of specially equipped four wheel drive land cruisers and rovers. These motor vehicles are unparalleled in their ability to negotiate the african terrain.
CRUISE TOURS
The ports of Mombasa and Dar es Salaam are increasingly drawing cruise tourism to the shores of Kenya and Dar es Salaam. DHOW SAFARIS
An adventurous, though risky, way to travel along the East African coast is by the traditional dhows (wind driven sail ships that have been used by the coastal people and the Arabs to ferry goods and people over the last one thousand years). Murien Safaris Africa will be pleased to book you on dhows to the Lamu islands including Kiwayu Island. A Lunch or Dinner date at the Romantic Tamarind Dhow in Mombasa is a must for those with an inclination for a little holiday romance.
